Because of the drenching we all got the night before, it was agreed that we would forego the traditional water-tossing Bulgarian ritual. So much for honor and integrity in this group! Our windshield was so flooded that I almost ran down one overly-brave camper who ran right in front of the car! (was that you, Elise?) The best story that I've heard so far occurred after departure from the park. Dan and Debra had extra time to burn, so they took a ride to the "Confederate Mt Rushmore" at Stone Mountain, just outside Atlanta. After they got to the top, it started raining and the staff refused to send anyone back down the mountain in the rain. Fortunately, the rain finally stopped ... and the two travelers just barely caught their plane! It was memorable, it was great, it was worth doing! We'll look forward to seeing you in the next Millenium! 2001 - A Linder Odyssey |
